Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I consider a holistic approach over conventional medicine?

Choosing between conventional and holistic medicine is a personal decision. Many find conventional treatments effective and cost-efficient, particularly for acute conditions. However, if you’re dealing with a chronic dermatological issue and haven’t seen the results you desire, or if you prefer to avoid steroids, antibiotics, or biologic drugs, it might be time to explore a more natural and holistic approach. East West Dermatology offers an alternative path that focuses on treating the root causes of your skin condition, not just the symptoms.
A brief, complimentary consultation allows us to determine if our holistic dermatology approach is right for your specific condition. Some skin issues are better addressed with conventional treatments covered by insurance, and we want to ensure you receive the best care possible without unnecessary out-of pocket expenses. Please note that this consultation is not a medical visit, and no medical advice will be provided until you are an established patient.

The first appointment is a comprehensive new patient visit that lasts 60 minutes. All appointments are currently conducted via telemedicine for your convenience and safety.

Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes long and are scheduled approximately 2 weeks after your initial visit. During these sessions, we’ll review your progress, adjust your treatment plan as needed, and discuss any lab results. Ongoing follow-ups are generally every 1 month, though this may vary based on your individual needs.

The duration of treatment varies depending on the complexity of your condition. Our goal is to help you achieve optimal health as efficiently as possible, so you won’t need continued care. However, every patient’s journey is unique, and treatment times can vary.

However, reimbursement is not guaranteed, and we do not communicate with insurance companies on behalf of patients.
